Today me and the outreach pastor went out and about.  If we were in Canada that would be oot in aboot.  But we are in Delaware so it is out and about.  Anyways, we went out and told people about The Gathering. We handed out a TON of invitations. I am super-pumped about The Gathering.  This is Calvary’s largest outreach “event” of the year.  We will touch an amazing amount of people in a creative way on October 11th and 12th.  Saturday we will have a coffee house and a comedian and then on Sunday we are going to be having church at the Delaware State Fairgrounds.  To you this may not be a big deal but if you are from Harrington, Delaware you understand the implications of this.  The Fairgrounds are definitely not known as Holy by any means.  At the fairgrounds you have a casino and horse racing and then you have The Gathering.  That is why I am pumped.  We are inviting people to come to an “unholy” place (whatever that means) to show them the love of Christ.  That’s good stuff right there!  In the community there is a certain stigma about the fairgrounds but when you invite a seeker to the fairgrounds for church!??!?!?! It tears down all walls.  It is funny to see the looks on their face when you mix church and the fair!

With that said, pray for us.  This weekend is going to be a big weekend.  We are praying for around 1200 people.  That means everybody in the church has to bring one person with them.  It can/will be done.  We are trusting in the Lord for that!  I serve a BIG God!!!!
